Hilo High School is a public, co-educational high school of the Hawaii State Department of Education, and serves grades nine through twelve. Established in 1906, its first class graduated in 1909. Hilo High School is near the Wailuku River in Hawaii County on the Big Island of Hawaii, United States. KVIKS Media is a chartered organization that consists of faculty, staff, students, alumni and volunteers. KVIKS performs a variety of services as part of Hilo High Schools Technology and Communications Department. To assist faculty and staff with performing their duties, KVIKS Media includes students and volunteers to perform a variety of tasks such as audio/video services, live broadcasting, vinyl banners, video production and more. The student organization is led by elected officers and is advised by members of the Hilo High School Technology and Communication departments.
